Objectives of the Hub
To ensure that we are on-track in achieving the Hub’s vision of an equity-based network that enables women, girls, and trans and gender diverse people living with HIV to realise their full potential, the Hub’s activities are guided by 5 main objectives.
01
Curriculum Development
Develop a curriculum for the WCHC model to allow for mobilisation and scaling up.
02
Knowledge Mobilization
Facilitate culturally appropriate knowledge mobilisation (KM) events to help inspire systemic change and empower knowledge-users.
03
Centralized Repository
Create a centralized web-based repository of services and research with and for diverse groups of women, girls, and gender-diverse people with HIV.
04
Training and Mentoring
Prioritise training and mentoring of trainees, early career researchers, and community leaders to support the next generation.
05
Scaling Up and Sustainability
Plan for the scale-up and sustainability of the WCHC curriculum and the Hub, including the engagement of community-based organizations and community based priority setting.
Achieving Our Objectives
These objectives serve as a compass for each of the Sub-Hubs and Team members in structuring their events and goals. They are encouraged to interpret each of these five objectives in their own way and see how they can be approached most effectively to achieve key outcomes for their region or population. Through regular reporting on each of these objectives, our national network sees unified progress towards improving health outcomes related to HIV/STBBIs, eliminating gaps in HIV care, and supporting the next generation of leaders in HIV treatment, knowledge, research, and policy.
